Sign up and join us for for an afternoon of work and friendship. Meet like minded Dems!. We will be working on mailings to newly registered Democrats in Sarasota County. These are fun and important sessions. A light lunch will be provided. No experience needed!

Please continue to contact your representatives in Washington, DC and voice your deep concern and outrage over the events rapidly unfolding. Be sure to let them know you are a Sarasota constituent who votes!

Here are some suggested talking points:

Demand that a local Town Hall meeting be scheduled ASAP
Express your concern that the FDA cancelled the annual flu vaccine committee meeting. We can't afford delays in next year's vaccine!
Stop the massive cuts in Medicaid. These will devastate local nursing homes in Florida!
Stop Elon Musk and his unvetted DOGE raiders
End the massive firings of the federal workforce which impacts many of our Veterans!
Restore funding and manpower to FEMA, the National Weather Service, and NOAA. We need these services now more than ever in Florida!
Hands off of the Social Security Administration! The former administrator of SSA said that service may be impacted in as soon as 90 days!
Restore funding and manpower to the IRS - It's tax season and people need help!
Restore funding and support to Ukraine and our NATO allies
End the gutting of the National Park Service
Immediately reinstate USAID, its staff, and restore its contracts & funding. Humanitarian efforts throughout the world are at a crisis point already!
