APRIL MEETING
We heard from Holly Bullard, the Chief Strategy and Development Officer of the Florida Policy Institute, an independent, non-partisan organization dedicated to advancing policies that improve the life of Floridians. They provide in-depth analysis of the Florida legislative session and budget. Holly was a director of United Way of the Suncoast, was a legislative aide to Congressman Ruben Hinojosa of Ariz, worked at the Dept of Education in Washington DC, and the United Way of Tucson.

Democratic Primary & School Board Candidate Meet & Greet at Tamiami Tap

Liz Barker, School Board Candidate, addressed our April 23, 2024 luncheon meeting at the Mellow Mushroom.
Liz is the parent of Sarasota County Public School students, an advocate for public schools, and a former school psychologist who will work to ensure our public schools remain strong. Please go to her website to review her policies, donate or volunteer to ensure we have sane voices on the School Board!
President Joe Biden visited Tampa, FL on April 23, 2024. Sarasota County was represented by Chair Daniel Kuether. We heard from some of our fine Dem women leaders as well-- Nikki Fried, Fentrice Driskell, Debbie Murcasel-Powell leaders!

Our March 24, 2024 meeting was a luncheon at Mellow Mushroom. We heard from Sarasota County Tax Collector Barbara Ford-Coates.

We heard from Tom Edwards at our January 23, 2024 lunch meeting at the Mellow Mushroom. Mr. Edwards is an incumbent member of the Sarasota County School Board who is up for re-election on August 20, 2024. It is crucial to the continued health of our school system to re-elect this fine public servant!
